April is Distracted Drivers Awareness Month and it is important to be honest with ourselves about how multitasking while driving. This huge issue affects us all on a daily basis and numerous accidents are avoidable if we limited distracted driving. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), "vehicle fatalities are up 6% from 2015” and "more than 40,000 people were killed on roadways” in 2017. Most of these accidents are a result of distracted driving.
NSC is providing their Distracted Driving Online Course from April 15-21, 2018 free! You can sign up and then complete the course within 14 days by visiting: safetyserve.com/ddam. You will need to register as a "New Student” and use the access code "distracted” to redeem the offer.
Another awareness feature that NSC is promoting is the pledge to be an attentive driver. You can participate and take the pledge to "Just Drive” at https://www.nsc.org/forms/DistractedDriving-Pledge. Dedicate your pledge to someone important in your life, such as your children, other family members, and friends.
